Sinners and Saints Parking Lot Shootout

 Mercs learn the hard way.

A great shootout from Sinners and Saints with Johnny Strong, where he takes out a whole team of mercenaries. This movie has great action, but doesn't get the attention it deserves. This one takes place outside a housing project in New Orleans. Mixed in as an ill-fated merc who takes a headshot from Strong's partner. That car door didn't offer as much cover as he might have thought. Not a good day to be a bad guy.

  1. Another great one. Leave it to us men to run in and take bullets just as well as giving them out. The kill at :25 is simple and perfect, guy is running and gunning, *POP,* "Uahhgh-" he's down and dead, a clean kill... and for a bad guy he sure is a good sport about dying. Dude at 1:20 charged right in and got a bellyfull, his first couple grunts sounded surprised and that last "Uahh." sounds more like he admits he's dead as he falls back, trigger finger still firing as he sprawls out slain on the pavement. When a guy gets shot up with more than a couple bullets, that last groan as the final bullet pierces him is like his farewell to the world, his way of saying "This man is out of the game, permanently, sayonara."

My favorite has to be the kill at :40, though, this bald dude is the peak of male expendability, looking handsome and cool and, in the end, unimportant, as he's dispatched so easily and the gunfight moves on. One between the eyes and he's down, slumped against his car, showing off that dead dad bod as he sinks to the ground, cigar smoke still puffing out of his mouth that hangs locked in a state of shock from when his lights went out for good. I would have put one in his thick belly before nailing him in the skull, but in a gunfight this tense you have to put down a man as fast as you can!

    1. LOL Dead Dad Bod! I guess that's better than a Deadbeat Dad... but yeah Johnny's partner got me too early in this one and the fight went on. Glad to see my pals were just a few seconds after me.

    2. I wish I was your partner in this one along with your squad, men shooting other men dead happens to be my favorite pastime! There would be more than one dead dad bod by the end!
